Privacy policy
What we collect, why, who helps us process it, and how to get it deleted.
Loot Drop ("we", "us") runs lootdrop.tools, The Drop newsletter, the Armory and Respawn. We collect as little as we can, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing thedrop@mail.grokbot.com.
1. What we collect and why
- Newsletter and waitlists: your email address, plus which form you used (for example "Armory waitlist"). We use it to send The Drop and launch emails you asked for.
- Respawn requests: what you type in the intake form (name or handle, email, repo or app link, the tool used, what's broken, urgency). We use it to diagnose the problem, send a quote and do the work.
- Repo access for Respawn: if you accept a quote and grant access, we access your code only for the job. We delete our working copies within 30 days of handoff.
- Purchases: Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, collects your payment details and billing info. We receive your name, email, what you bought and the order status. We never see or store your full card number.
- Emails you send us: kept so we can reply and keep a record of support and orders.
- Server logs: our host keeps basic technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to run and protect the site.
2. Services that process data for us
- Kit: newsletter and waitlist emails.
- Formspree: the Respawn intake form.
- Lemon Squeezy: checkout, payments, tax and receipts (merchant of record).
- Cloudflare: website hosting and security.
- GitHub: if you share a repo with us for a Respawn job.
Each one handles data under its own privacy policy. We share only what's needed for that service to work.
3. Cookies and tracking
The site doesn't use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. If we add analytics, we'll use a privacy-friendly option and update this page first. Our newsletter provider may count opens and link clicks so we know which tools readers care about.
4. What we never do
- Sell or rent your personal data.
- Share your email with sponsors. Sponsors get combined numbers, like subscriber count and open rate, never your details.
- Ask for or store your passwords or API keys.
5. How long we keep it
Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Respawn requests and order records are kept as long as needed to provide the service, handle refunds and meet tax and accounting rules. Repo copies are deleted within 30 days of handoff.
6. Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from any email with one click. You can also ask us to show, correct, export or delete your personal data by emailing thedrop@mail.grokbot.com. We'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law), you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Children
Loot Drop is for adults building with AI. It's not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For big changes, we'll mention it in The Drop.
